5 UK Family Travel Bloggers to follow in 2018
It’s January and it’s gloomy, and we’re all sitting here plotting our next escapes, yes? My timeline is filling up with proud excited declarations of “yes! Tickets to New York/Sydney/Jo’berg booked!”
But also, I’m seeing plaintive wails of “where shall we gooo??”
Increasingly people are looking for a little more from their family travels than a couple of weeks package holiday on a beach. Travel is easier than ever, especially so with a family – places I’d never have dreamed of even 10yrs ago I now see fellow bloggers tackling with a toddler. And that’s why I love to stalk follow other family travel bloggers. My Insta feed is filled with young beautiful adventurers doing exciting beautiful things – and scrolling through them is a perfect way to lose ten minutes of a grey rainy day in an escape of glorious sunshine and amazing places.
But for me, the real inspiration lies in seeing other families actually doing it. I don’t want to know that a free-spirited 23yr old can do a downward-facing dog on the top of that mountain. I want to know if a family of four can even make it to the base, let alone up it!
Seeing Nisbah from Five Adventurers take her family skiing for the first time recently has made me confident that I can take my much older kids. Carrie from Flying with a Baby took her 2 & 5yr olds to a remote area of Thailand – and completely inspired me to expand my thinking a bit more about what genuinely fun travel with kids looks like.
Finding new blogs to follow is always a joy – I treasure blogs which inspire me, and introduce me to new experiences, ways of travelling and extraordinary new sights and sounds along the way. So I’ve picked five of my top suggestions for you to follow this year – watch and see where they can take you!
