East Devon’s Mazzard Farm Holiday Cottages Launches brilliant Baby’s First Holiday Break
East Devon’s Mazzard Farm Holiday Cottages Launches Baby’s First Holiday Break, from £195 for weekend break, or three-night mid-week escape
Mazzard Farm Holiday Cottages, an award winning cluster of six family friendly holiday cottages in East Devon’s Ottery St Mary, has launched a really clever new package aimed at first time parents. The Baby’s First Holiday break has been designed to take all the strain and stress out of the first family holiday, ensuring that new parents get a much needed break. And we think it’s a stroke of genius.
The break, which is from £195 for two nights over a weekend, or three mid-week, has the following included, or available as optional extras:
- Free upgrade or 10% discount (depending on what is available).
- 24-hour notice free cancellation policy (just in case the baby is ill, or driving panic sets in)
- All the baby paraphernalia you might need, from sterilisers to high-chairs, cots and potties. No need to cram the boot filled with the nursery, Mazzard Farm has done all the thinking in advance.
- CAB checked baby sitters are available (additional cost) or, for those uncomfortable with the thought of an unknown sitter, a personal chef can be booked to create a restaurant quality meal in your own home (additional cost).
- The owner is a trained masseur, reflexologist and can arrange in-room pamper sessions for the ultimate indulgent luxury (additional cost)
“Several years of seeing families come and stay with us at Mazzard Farm has shown us just how precious and important a family’s first holiday together is,” comments Ruud Jansen Venneboer, owner of Mazzard Farm. “It’s not just about having the right kit, and being in the right place; it’s about really understanding the needs of a couple taking away their young baby for the very first time.
“Catering to last minute wobbles, changes of mind, making the holiday extra special and providing extras like in-room catering or an indulgent massage, these are kinds of things that make parents know we get it.
“We hope to show first time mums and dads just now great a holiday with their new child can be, and to put them well and truly on the road for many brilliant family holidays in years to come.”
Mazzard Farm is a spectacular, multi-award winning, eco-friendly cluster of four-star self-catering cottages set in 17 acres of gardens, orchard, play areas, woods and farm land on the edge of Ottery St Mary. Each of the six cottages is beautifully decorated, inspired with elements from its Dutch owner’s homeland, and each has a state of the art kitchen. All bar Bramley Cottage have a wood burner. The smallest cottage sleeps two (plus two cots) and the largest single cottage sleeps six (plus one cot). For larger family gatherings, some cottages have been designed to inter-connect (sleeping up to 10).
What they have tried to achieve is a blend between luxury and warmth. Basically, the beds are very comfortable, and the towels are very fluffy!
Mazzard Farm has been designed with families in mind. The fields and woods surrounding the cottages are kept as a small holding, and the owners keep chickens and make their own jams and cakes using produce from their gardens. There are games, toys, baby kit, outdoor play areas and a thoroughly comprehensive guide book which goes into detail on all the family friendly activities in and around East Devon. Technology has not been forgotten however, and each cottage also comes with flat screen TV, DVD player and free Wifi.
Spend some quality time together, go for gentle walks, maybe book one of the Personal Chefs for the night, or have one of Jacqueline’s treatments. (Jacqueline is a qualified Maternity Reflexologist!). There’s even a list of babyfriendly places to eat and drink!
To make use of this offer, head over to Mazzard Farm Holiday Cottages website, and have an explore of the cottages. Check their availability, and once you’re ready please quote ‘baby’s first holiday’ when booking. This offer is available during any week between early September and late June.
