Quiksilver Surf School in Newquay

Famed for its long sandy beaches and wide range of water sports, no holiday to Cornwall is complete without hitting the waves. Paddle boarding, windsurfing and thrill rides are all popular choices, but surfing is what Cornwall is really famous for.

Eden Project

A family favourite for exploring in Cornwall, the Eden project is a place to learn about exotic and endangered plants and fruits from across the world, which will keep for whole family occupied for hours. The complex has two huge dome enclosures, one dedicated to emulating a natural rainforest ecosystem and the other a Mediterranean environment.
The Eden Project is the world’s largest indoor rainforest and is committed to environmental education and the interdependence between people and plants. The site is also home to an outside botanical garden which houses a variety of native plants and wildlife from Cornwall and throughout the UK.
The Eden Project hosts a variety of family friendly events throughout the year including park runs, music festivals and adventure activities, so it is worth seeing what’s on offer before you go.
Tintagel Castle

Tintagel Castle has been linked with King Arthur where is it believe he was conceived and has been a popular tourist hotspot since the early 1900s. Situated on the rugged north coast between Padstow and Bude, the castles structures which can be seen today originate in the 13th Century, but recent archaeological research has found buildings and other artefacts dating to the Late Roman period.
There is a variety of exhibitions, artefacts and hidden corners to explore in and around Tintagel Castle including the Iron Gate giving spectacular views of the Cornish coast, the impressive 148 step bridge to the headland and the fascinating floating sculpture of King Arthur.
Healey’s Cornish Cyder Farm
Situated near St Agnes and Newquay, Healey’s Cornish Cyder Farm is definitely worth a visit. This family run farm has been growing and producing a variety of prize winning ciders, wines and jams for 32 years.
Visitors can explore the famed apple orchards, museum and distillery, and even try their hand at pulping apples with historic cyder presses and even take a tractor ride around the farm. There is of course ample time to sample some of the great produce including jams, preserves, cyders and fresh-pressed juices.
Guests can also take advantage of the sites restaurant, providing a range of hearty home-cooked meals, the tea room specialising in traditional Cornish cream, scones and afternoon tea and the farm shop selling produce made on site.
Porthmeor Beach (St. Ives)

Situated in the seaside town of St. Ives, Porthmeor Beach is a popular destination for water sports and families alike. This half-mile-long sandy beach holds the prestigious Blue Flag Award and is the perfect location for picnics and relaxing during the summer months.
Porthmeor Beach is close to the town centre of St. Ives and its array of ancient pubs, stylish restaurants and quaint cafes the town is famous for.
